Ahoy mates! Join our Skippers aboard Ships2Shores exciting week-long film project! Learn the basics of film editing and get some tips for making great short films. To help us cast off, think about “What does the word marine mean to me?” Yes, that’s our theme around which you will develop your own short (2-minute maximum) films! Our Skippers will be there to provide real time support and feedback. Brace yourselves, this is what our week of activities will look like!

  • Monday – Introduction to DaVinci Resolve software. Plus, discussion on your ideas for your films. Receive instructions and guidance around your next steps.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. You will have the chance to work on your short film projects and receive real time support.
  • Friday. Let’s have a show and tell. Final films should be 2 minutes maximum!

To prepare, before Monday’s session:

  1. Think about the theme “What does the word marine mean to me?”
  2. Gather your pictures, video clips … all you would like to use in your films. Remember you will be editing and trimming! Final films should be 2 minutes maximum!
